Target Setting Its Sights On Michigan Avenue

The enterprising retail chain to host a "Bullseye Bazaar" in the Tribune Tower

Target will present its first-ever temporary "pop-up" boutique in the Midwest from Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9. Held on the ground floor of the Tribune Tower on Michigan Avenue, the inventive venture is called the "Bullseye Bazaar," a modern, Target-themed take on a traditional marketplace.

Open for business from 10AM until 8PM each day, the "Bullseye Bazaar" will be filled with merchandise from Target's long list of design partners, as well as new items for spring and summer that haven't hit the stores yet, such as baby products from the cheap-chic chain's latest brand called up & up.

Shoppers can browse the array of items, which will be displayed throughout the former McCormick Freedom Museum space at 455 N. Michigan Ave. Everything shown will be available for sale, including the much-anticipated new collaboration between Target and fashion designer Tracy Feith, which will be available in stores mid-May. Other hot commodities include footwear from Miss Trish of Capri, Felix Rey handbags and jewelry from Erickson Beamon. Home decor lines from Thomas O'Brien, Michael Graves, Victoria Hagan and Christiane Lemieux will be on hand, as will beauty collections from Napoleon Perdis, Sonia Kashuk, Jemma Kidd and Petra Strand.

Target is at the forefront of these temporary shopping experiences, having set up shop on a boat anchored off of Chelsea Piers in Manhattan in 2002, as well as hosting a series of "Bullseye Bodegas" throughout New York City last September.
