Star Maps 10/26: Angels and Wings

Victoria's Secret Angels, Ryan Gossling, Tim McGraw and more.

This week there was a lot of talk about sex and lingerie. And a little rock n’ roll thrown in the mix as well.

Call us crazy, but we couldn’t help but pay extra special attention to the opening of the Victoria’s Secret flagship store on Michigan Avenue this week. Perhaps it was because of the pink lights strewn on trees out front, or the giant angel wings worn by the likes of Gisele Bunchen that were propped up like pieces of art.
Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Marisa Miller and Doutzen Kroes graced us with their presence at the store for the grand opening. Afterwards, they headed to Sunda where they proceeded to hardly eat a thing. Then the models retired to their suites at the James Hotel and Miller was spotted “drinking” her dinner with evening cocktails at JBar.
Also at the VS opening party were over-publicized “stars” Ed and Jillian, who proved they clearly have no idea what they are doing when they posed on the side of the pink carpet in the dark – instead of on it - for photographers until someone told them what to do. “Ha, we’re new at this,” Jillian laughed. They also headed to dinner at Sunda and proceeded to slam grey goose and Corzo tequila cocktails while eating baked snow crab rolls and miso glazed black cod. At least someone was eating at Sunda.
Ryan Gosling breezed into town and performed with his band Dead Man’s Bones at Shuba’s Tavern in Lakeview Wednesday. Yes, he has a band. Who knew. And how fitting that his creepy band name just happens to coincide so well with Halloween. We wonder if they planned it that way on purpose. Cute.
Country music star Tim McGraw performed at Joe’s Bar on Tuesday while hottie wife Faith Hill watched on. We think they’re a smokin’ couple; although we hear she didn’t look so “smokin’” on Tuesday when she was hanging out with no make-up on. Yikes.
Lumen and EA Sports hosted the Official North American Launch Party for EA Sports FIFA Soccer 10 videogame which brought out Chicago Fire soccer players Chris Rolfe, Logan Pause, John Thorrington, Peter Lowry, and Baggio Husidic. Grown men playing video games; how……. unusual.
