Microsoft loyalists will have a new place to get answers to their tech questions.

Apple is getting a little competition along Michigan Avenue this holiday season.
Microsoft announced plans Tuesday to open a new holiday store in the Shops at North Bridge on October 26.
The store will carry a host of Microsoft products along with support staff and help desks to help customers personalize their devices.
Microsoft has a couple of major product releases before the holidays, the Windows 8 operating system and a new Surface tablet.
The company also plans to open a similar holiday store in Times Square, New York City.
