Everyone Gets to Be Cinderella

le Dress hosts prom dress drop-off; offers discount

Many of us ladies have a collection of dresses from past weddings, dances and formal dinners that no longer fit, are just not flattering anymore, or we just KNOW in our heart of hearts, we will never, ever wear again.  What a waste, right?  Those dresses can have new life again, making someone in need very happy.  Wicker Park's le Dress boutique has volunteered to be an official drop-off site for The Glass Slipper Project, an organization that collects new and almost-new formal dresses and accessories and provides them, free of charge, to Chicago high school students who are unable to purchase their own prom attire.  From March 21 through April 4, shoppers can bring in gently used dresses, clutches, jewelry, shoes and unopened makeup, and they'll receive 20 percent off one regularly-priced item as a thank-you for the donation.  It's a win-win situation for all of the Cindrellas-to-be involved.
