Sidewalk sales can be a good or bad thing. Often the merchandise is that junky clearance stuff that the store can't get rid of.

We're thinking that won't be the case at the third annual Chicago Sidewalk Sale. On July 21 and 22, a number of local designers and boutiques will offer their goods at Daley Plaza (50 West Washington St.)from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Shoes, clothes and jewelry are just some of the items that will be on display.

Your lunch hour would be a good time to check it out, because a fashion show will be held at noon on both days.

The event is part of Fashion Focus Chicago, which supports and promotes fashion designers living and working in Chicago.
