You might not think to hit the mall when on the hunt for new local designers. That will all change this weekend as Northbrook Court and SeeMore Shopping, a Chicago-based shopping publication and Web site, present the "Chicago Indie Collection," which will feature looks by 16 emerging fashion designers, all in one unlikely location.

Taking place from 10AM-9PM on Saturday, May 2, and from 11AM-6PM on Sunday, May 3, the "Chicago Indie Collection" is a pop-up boutique situated on the first floor of Northbrook Court near Lord & Taylor. SeeMore Shopping regularly hosts these temporary retail boutiques in locations across the city and suburbs, bringing together looks by Chicago designers in a one-stop-shop setting for savvy fashionistas.

The Northbrook Court event will feature clothing and accessories from 16 Chicago-based designers, including Lara Miller, Brynn Capella Handbags, CC Bella and Squasht by Les. Items will include everything from designer clothing collections and handmade jewelry to unique handbags and even custom stationery.
