Four of Chicago's leading interior design firms -- Tom Stringer Design Partners, Soucie Horner, Marshall Morgan Erb Design and Frank Ponterio Interior Design -- are opening up their private collections to let savvy shoppers take a stab during the Designers' Private Collections Sale being held Thursday, April 30 through Sunday, May 3. Featuring furniture, lighting, rugs and other high-end home decor treasures, this exclusive selection will offer rare and one-of-a-kind items, most of which will be shown publicly for the first, and we're guessing only, time.

The Designers' Private Collections Sale will take place in a showroom at 372 W. Ontario St. in River North on the ground floor. You'll be able to mix and mingle with designers from the four firms involved throughout the sale -- hopefully they won't put up too much of a fight when you make a cherished item your own. A portion of the proceeds from the Designers' Private Collections Sale will benefit the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago.

The sale will be open Thursday from 10AM-6PM, Friday and Saturday from 10AM-5PM and Sunday from 12-5PM.
