Craft Beer Biz Booms in Chicago

Forget about the big beer producers; small and local seems to be the way to go.

"It's a lot easier to make a full flavored beer if you're brewing it in a small batch," said Josh Deth, owner of Revolution Brewing on Milwaukee Avenue.

The craft brewer has been open less than a year Deth says the demand has been insane.

"People are demanding this. They are knocking down the door almost to get this kind of quality and variety available to them," he explained.

On Saturday you can meet almost a dozen local brewmasters -- including Revolution Brewing -- and taste their beer at Belgian Fest 2010. It's hosted by Goose Island Brewery on Clybourne Ave. It's $25 for 20 beer tickets.  RSVP by calling 312-915-0071.
