Taste Sells Barely Half of Advance Concert Tickets

Advance ticket sales for Taste of Chicago concerts show lackluster numbers

If you're still hoping to catch a show at Taste of Chicago this week, you shouldn't have a problem getting a ticket.

Advance ticket sales for concerts at the Taste closed Monday night with just more than half of them sold, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Taste made 15,000 tickets available for general-admission seating in front of the Petrillo Music Shell.  By midday Monday just over 7,100 of those tickets were sold online.

The remaining tickets can be purchased at the Taste of Chicago starting Wednesday. Ticket windows at Jackson and Columbus will open from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The five scheduled concerts include Jennifer Hudson, Death Cab for Cutie, Michael Franti, Chaka Khan and Dierks Bentley.

Lawn seats are still free.
