There's no such thing as a redheaded stepchild in the search for the next Patty Burger Pin Up.
The restaurant (72 East Adams) is seeking a redhead to be the new face of the franchise.
The contest starts on March 17 and runs through the 31st. The winner gets $1,000 and will represent Patty Burger in the media and at various promotional events. The image used for promotional purposes won't be an actual photo of the winner, but a cartoonized version.
The Patty Burger concept is filled with nostalgia -- the days of classic burger joints, pin up girls and poodle skirts, hence the search for the classic redheaded beauty.
Applicants are asked to submit their best Patty look-alike photograph, and 200 words on why she is the best girl for the job and the winner will be selected after a series of interviews.
According to the restaurant's Web site, Patty is "fresh, hot and stacked" -- but we're not sure if they're just talking about the burgers. We could go on about the "fresh baked buns," but this is somewhat of a family show.
Interested applicants are asked to drop off their materials at the Adams Street location.
