A North Side bar is doing its part to help the wildlife affected by the BP oil spill.

Trader Todd's (3216 N. Sheffield) is hosting a "Chicagoans for Gulf Coast Relief" rally on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.

Twenty bucks gets you appetizers and drinks, but more importantly, the money goes toward training and funding a volunteer operation to aid in wildlife rescue in the Gulf.

Owner Todd Hyatt went to the region to witness the damage first-hand, and says he was given the run-around by BP after trying to volunteer in the wildlife rescue effort. He's recruiting his own group of volunteers and leading an excursion to the Gulf to offer aid.

"Biggest Polluter" t-shirts will also be on sale for $20, which will be used to fund the same cause.
