The team behind Lincoln square's popular Tallulah have opened a new restaurant in the city.

Owner Matt Fisher and chef Troy Graves opened Eve this week in the Gold Coast (840 N. Wabash).

The new restaurant is expected to be more formal than the three-star Tallulah, and are aiming for a "casual-chic lunch and dinner crowd."

"The menu at Eve will have many similarities to Tallulah, but will offer some unique, refined twists," said Graves, who will oversee the kitchens of both restaurants.

Graves says the menu will target a modern American palate, but he'll also bring "Asian, Indian and Continental elements into play in a fun way."

The space has capacity for 120 people, with a main dining room, a bar at the back and two private dining areas for groups.

Eve is open for lunch this week and will add dinner service next week.
