Mondays Never Tasted So Good

Rockit Revamps "TasteIt Mondays"

Mondays always seem to get the bad end of the stick. After all, how many days of the week have songs written about how badly they suck?

Yup, Monday, we're talking about you.

Well, you can thank your friends over at Rockt Bar & Grill for kicking a little bit of life into the first day of the work week. TasteIt Mondays is a regionally inspired food and suggestive wine pairing program offering small plates paired with wine flights at a discounted price.

Chef James Gottwald is focusing on Germany as his inspiration for the month of April.

All bottles and pours of the featured wines as well as additional non-German selected wines are half-off.

The menu includes:

  • Jagerschnitzel (breaded pork cutlet with wild mushroom gravy). Suggested wine pairing is Pinot Noir-Messmer Spatburgunder at $4 per glass, $18 a bottle.
  • Mini Bratwurst (three mini brats with warm sauerkraut). Suggested wine pairing is Gewurztraminer-Villa Wolf at $4 per glass, $16 a bottle.
  • Potato Croquettes (crispy potato pancakes with German potato salad dressing). Suggested wine pairing is Riesling Dr. Loosen at $4 per glass, $16 a bottle).

Australia will be the featured wine region for May.

Monday, you're starting to look mighty fine, my friend.
