Carrie Nahabedian is the first female inductee to the Chefs Hall of Fame by the Chicago Culinary Museum.

Chef Carrie Nahabedian of NAHA has been named the fourth inductee into the Chefs Hall of Fame by the Chicago Culinary Museum.  She is the first female inductee; previous recipients include Chef Charlie Trotter of Charlie Trotter's in 2006, Chef Jimmy Bannos of Heaven on Seven in 2007 and in 2008, Chef Rick Bayless of Frontera Grill and Topolobampo.

''Thank you for the honor and distinction to be part of the Chefs Hall of Fame here in Chicago,'' Chef Nahabedian stated in a press release.  ''Being a Chicagoan, I am very proud to be in such great company of past recipients, my talented colleagues and friends, Chefs Bayless, Bannos and Trotter. NAHA is a collaboration of talents, and everyday it is a joy to be able to work with my cousin and partner Michael Nahabedian with our great staff including my two sisters Chris and Cathy in a stunning space created by my cousin Tom Nahabedian.''

Chef Nahabedian has nearly 25 years of culinary experience. For nearly nine years, she has been chef and co-proprietor with her cousin Michael Nahabedian, of NAHA, located in River North. Her menus are built on local foods and rely on fresh produce, meats and cheeses from the Green City Markets.  As NAHA Chef, she was honored with the prestigious James Beard award for "Best Chef Great Lakes" by the James Beard Foundation in 2008.

Chef Nahabedian will be formally inducted into the Chefs Hall of Fame at an event this fall, to be announced, which will be open to the public and will also serve as a fundraiser for the Chicago Culinary Museum.  For more information on the Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame, call 312-718-3221.
