You wouldn't want this holiday to pass you by.

Have your pasta and eat it too at Buca di Beppo in honor of National Lasagna Day, which this year deliciously falls on Wednesday, July 29. The nationwide Italian chain restaurant will be serving up complimentary lunch-size portions of its hearty lasagna with the purchase of any Buca Small or Buca Large pasta dish or entree.

One of the most popular choices at the casual Italian eatery, Buca di Beppo's lasagna recipe features an ooey, gooey combination of ricotta, mozzarella, provolone and parmesan cheeses stuffed between layers of pasta and topped with a housemade meat sauce. The free lasagna offer is only valid for dine-in guests, but keep in mind, you can box up your comped lasagna to go (which sounds like a good idea to us).

There are four Buca di Beppo locations in the Chicago area: River North (521 N. Rush St., 312-396-0001), Lombard (90 Yorktown Rd., 630-932-7673), Orland Park (15350 S. 94th Ave., 708-349-6262) and Wheeling (604 N. Milwaukee Ave., 847-808-9898).
