If you were already upset about a revamped Taste of Chicago this year, you may also be surprised by what else will be missing -- giant barbecued turkey legs.
Tim McGivern, the man responsible for the most iconic food item at the annual festival, is sitting this year out due to health issues, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The 63-year-old says his doctors have advised him not to participate after undergoing back and knee surgery.
McGivern partnered with Manny's Deli the last couple of years to sell the turkey legs. He told the newspaper he will try to return in 2013.
