Eat at a Chicago Original, Save Some Dough

"Chicago Originals" venues host second-annual restaurant week

You're a self-respecting hipster, so what are you doing going to Chili's (again)? Your indie spirit (and your stomach) deserve better. Give your business to an independently owned Chicago restaurant and earn your street cred back. A good time to try out a new local spot is during the second-annual "Chicago Originals Restaurant Week," which actually runs over the course of two weeks -- Sunday, Jan. 25 through Friday, Jan. 30 and Sunday, Feb. 1 through Friday, Feb. 6.

The 13 participating Chicago Originals restaurants, which can be found throughout the city and suburbs, will offer specially created three-course menus for the occasion with choices for $24.09 for lunch and $29.09 for dinner. (Note: Not all of the restaurants are open for lunch, and not all of them are open every day of the promotion.) Some of the venues will also offer bottles of wine at special prices, as well.

Check out the "Chicago Originals Restaurant Week" menus at the following participating venues, and cancel your rezzie at T.G.I. Whatever's:
