Blago Burger's Days Are Numbered

The nationally famous burger may soon be taken off Kuma’s menu

Kuma's Corner (2900 W Belmont Ave) has always been a popular restaurant, famous for its hot(!!) chili, build-your-own macaroni and cheese, and huge burgers named after metal bands. Hungry customers have been known to wait as long as two hours to get their hands on owner Michael Cain's food.

And that was before his latest creation, the "#@(*&%^ Blagojevich" burger.

The January burger-of-the-month is a 10-ounce patty topped with a thick slice of bologna and served on grilled Wonder Bread with American cheese. The finishing touch is a giant dollar symbol ($) written in mustard on top.

The $10 burger was picked up by local and national media, and it wasn't long before Kuma's Corner was faced with overwhelming crowds.

"It's so busy these days," Cain told the Chicago Tribune. "I'm going crazy with people coming in for this 'Bleeping Blago Burger.' It's sad that this is what I'm known for nationwide."

The month is soon ending though, and Cain will have to come up with a February burger-of-the-month. What could possibly follow the Blago burger's success? Cain hasn't decided yet, but he's considering a burger topped by a grilled peach.

It would be known as the "Impeachment Burger."
