Chef Rick Bayless, posing inside Frontera Grill, was said to be one of the top choices for the Executive Chef position in the Obama White House.

You can forget about those rumors that the Obamas would rely on one of Chicago's own to man the White House kitchen.

Both uber-chef Rick Bayless and Oprah's guy, Art Smith, were rumored to be in consideration for the high-profile gig, but it appears that's not going to be the case.

Transition officials say Cristeta Comerford will stay on for the Obamas. Comerford is the first woman and first minority to serve as White House executive chef.

Michelle Obama said she and Comerford agree on "the importance of healthy eating and healthy families."

Comerford is a naturalized U.S. citizen from the Philippines who studied French cooking in Vienna, Austria, and specializes in ethnic and American cuisine.
