Affordable Gourmet Tonight

The Kendall College Dining Room Brightens Monday Night

Got a bad case of the Mondays? Give yourself something to look forward to at the end of the dismal first day of the work week.  The Kendall College Dining Room hosts a delicious and affordable Monday Night Dining Series that features a different type of ethnic cuisine in five-courses and accompanying entertainment each week. Tonight, Monday, March 9 showcases the tasty flavors of Devon Avenue with an Indian-inspired menu and musical performance. The menu includes a duet of Indian appetizers with tamarind chutney and mint cilantro sauce, tomato lentil soup, cucumber raita, chick peas and yogurt,  tandoori chicken, cardamom and saffron scented basmati rice,  rice kheer with a saffron rabri, bananas stuffed with jaggery and fresh grated coconut, and alphonso mango kulfi.  Kalyan Pathak's Indian music duo performs beginning at 6:30 p.m., with dinner seating at 7 p.m.

The Monday Night Dining Series is $38 per person, per banquet, which includes non-alcoholic beverages and sales tax, but does not include gratuity. They are currently BYOB, and tonight's banquet is the last one of this school term.  Dinners are prepared by chefs-in-training and instructors at Kendall College.
