 Chicago rarely gets its culinary due when it comes to outside recognition for great restaurants. Now, an Epicurious magazine food blogger has taken note - in a whole new place. 

Raphael Kadushin, in "the epi-log," whines about the woeful state of  hotel restaurant food. His only exception? You guessed it. Chicago. Among his top picks: the Ritz-Carlton Cafe, NoMI at the Park Hyatt, Shanghai Terrace at the Peninsula and Mercat at the Blackstone Hotel as places providing "a week's worth of stellar food."
