A Final Four Feast

Watch the championships while cooking a gourmet meal at Bespoke Cuisine

The NCAA basketball championships have been a long, hard road (they don't call it March Madness for nothing). Don't you deserve a good meal after all of those beer-laden, nacho chip-filled afternoons? Bespoke Cuisine, a boutique catering and culinary services company in the West Loop, is hosting a "Final Four Showdown" cooking party during the National Championship game on Monday, April 6.

Whether it will be Villanova or North Carolina vs. Michigan State or Connecticut remains to be seen, but each of the Final Four regions of the championships will be represented with food faves on the event's menu. You'll be preparing such distinctly American delicacies as New England clam chowder soup shots and mini cheese steak sandwiches as appetizers; Carolina cole slaw, salt potatoes with melted butter, spinach salad with apples, smoked bacon and bleu cheese, and coffee-bourbon barbecue ribs and chicken for the buffet; and individual sweet cherry cobblers with vanilla bean ice cream for the finale. And, of course, the game will be shown on Bespoke's flatscreen TVs found throughout the private event space.

Bespoke Cuisine's "Mix it Up" cooking parties kick off at 6:30PM with a convivial cheese appetizer reception, and then things really heat up. You'll get schooled in the kitchen while making the evening's menu, which you'll then get to enjoy during a communal-style dinner. The events are BYOB and cost $80 per person, which includes the hors d'oeuvres, cooking instruction, dinner, soft drinks and a recipe packet to take home. Take advantage of Bespoke Cuisine's current spring special, which is buy one admission, get one half off. Call 312-455-8400 or email info@bespokecuisine.com to make reservations.
