The Cure For What Ales You

Division Ale House hits Wicker Park

Chicago has its fair share of Irish pubs, but as St. Patrick's Day reminds us every year -- you really can't have enough places to satisfy the thirst of folks looking for a pint of Irish cider or frosty brew.

Enter the Division Ale House (1942 W. Division St), a new Wicker Park Irish pub that opened to the public last week.

The new spot offers a menu with traditional Irish favorites, such as bangers and mash, beer-battered fish and chips and beef and Guinness pie, plus numerous draft beers on tap.

The 80-ounce "beer towers" are sure to popular. The portable table top taps are fitted with an interior ice cylinder to keep your beer cold.

The interior space has room for 100 seats, in addition to the 20-seat bar.

Late this summer, expect a dance party to break out on Friday and Saturday nights when DJs will spin a mix of Pop, Rock, Top 40 and Dance.

The Ale House is owned by Baris Yuksel, who also owns People Lounge on Milwaukee Ave.
