Blackbird's new lunch deal might even inspire you to pick up the check!

If you're not in the mood to brown bag it, you might want to check out a new three-course deal at a very swanky location instead.

As reported by the 312 Dining Diva, Blackbird (619 W. Randolph St.) has a three-course lunch deal for only $15.

If you've never been to Blackbird before, think of this as a perfect introduction to the high-end eatery. The lunch deal includes the mixed green salad and a choice of two entrees -- the whitefish sandwich or the short rib burger with taleggio, black garlic, pomme frites and carrot tahini salad. We're not even sure what taleggio is, but it sounds really good, and each of those entree items typically costs almost $15 alone.

They'll also send you back to work with a box of their famous donuts to share with your co-workers -- or not.

By the end of the month, the restaurant plans to also offer a $25 fixed priced menu with additional entree items that will change weekly, like slow-cooked rabbit loin or trout with bernaise sauce.

"Business people want a quick and satisfying lunch that's more than a salad and a burger, plus they want a great deal, which is what we offer," Chef Mike Sheerin said.
