Champion Eaters to Compete in Battle Of The Bhut

Jake Melnick's Corner Tap hosts hottest wings competition

Eating competitions are tough enough, but there's an extra level of difficulty when you're deailing with the hottest wings in the world.

That's exactly how it's going to go down November 6th at Jack Melnick's Corner Tap for the third annual Battle of the Bhut.

Major League Eating champions Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti and Gravy Brown -- both from Chicago -- will be on hand to compete in the event.

The competitors will be eating Jake's signature XXX Hot Wings, which are made with two of the hottest peppers in the world, the Red Savina Habanero and the Bhut Jolokia.

The goal is to eat as many of the wings in five minutes with the winner walking away with $1,000 and free wings for a year -- if they're in the mood for more after going through it.

The event kicks off with a celebrity pre-contest at 1 p.m. before the pros step into the ring.

Seattle’s Erik "the Red" Denmark won last year’s Battle of the Bhut after downing 35 wings.
