She’s been tantalizing us with her always-packed West Loop restaurant Girl and the Goat, and now, chef extraordinaire Stephanie Izard is taking her recipes to print with the launch of her first cookbook, Girl in the Kitchen.

The book comes out on Oct. 5th and Izard will celebrate with a launch party at Salvage One from 7:30-11:30 p.m. Izard and other chefs will be creating original dishes inspired by recipes from Girl in the Kitchen.

Mixologist Benjamin Schiller will take care of the cocktails and DJ Ochs will handle the beats -- if you can pry yourself away from the food, that is.

The "Top Chef" winner is taking her Goat Tour to 16 cities, where she'll cook dinners with fellow chefs at their restaurants, and celebrate the release the book.

Tickets are $100 for admission, with proceeds benefiting Share Our Strength, a non-profit dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America by 2015.
