Stephanie Izard probably needs to clear some room on her mantlepiece these days.
The former Top Chef winner and executive chef of the wildly popular Girl & the Goat has received Food & Wine magazine's coveted Best New Chef award.
Izard let the cat out of the bag Tuesday morning by tweeting "i think the secret is out... off to early morning photo shoot for f&w best new chef!! woooooohooo! super excited!"
The ceremony takes place in New York Tuesday night.
According to Eater.com, other Chicago chefs to receive the same honor in year's past include Mike Sheerin, Giuseppe Tentori, Koren Grieveson, Michael Carlson and Paul Virant.
The Girl & the Goat is also in the running for the Best New Restaurant award by the James Beard Foundation.
