The gals on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" know a thing or two about fashion and shopping, which is why it makes sense to have one of the cast members kick off a new Chicago event.
Reality star Lynne Curtin is hosting and presenting her own line of chic accessories at the kickoff of "Fashion District Wednesdays" on April 7, a new bi-weekly event at River North's District Bar.
Event organizers describe the concepts as an "alternative way for stylish Chicagoans to experience fashion" by allowing guests to check out the latest designs and meet the designers.
Local designers Ashley Scott of Drapes, Lecrisha Sheilds of Reckless and Kiwi Boutique will also be on hand for the kickoff event.
District is offering up half-priced bottles of wine and salads and anyone in a vest or blazer gets 10 percent off the rest of the menu.
