How Are Those Resolutions Working Out for You?

Style Chicago throws a party to check in on your New Year's resolutions

Have you dropped 10 pounds yet? Found a better job? Solved your own personal economic crisis? No? Well, January's not over... but it will be soon. Do a status check of your list of life-changing goals for the new year at "Resolutions 2009," local lifestyle Web site Style Chicago's timely self-help soiree.

Taking place at the W Chicago - Lakeshore on Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 6-9PM, the "Resolutions" bash will feature cocktails and wine, hors d'oeuvres from the W's Wave restaurant, mini spa services from the hotel's Bliss Spa, makeup from MAC Cosmetics, beauty treatments and style services, plus filled-to-the-brim goodie bags (for the first 250 VIP ticket buyers only!).

If you're wondering how booze figures into your get-fit resolutions, all you need is a clever angle. You'll feel much better about yourself when drinking "motivational" martinis, mojitos and margaritas. There, problem solved. And, if you're still feeling guilty, local volunteer organization Chicago Cares will be on hand to teach you how and where to give back.

Tickets for Style Chicago's "Resolutions 2009" are $45 for VIP tickets and $35 for general admission. Get yours on the Web site or call 800-838-3006. The organizers are expecting a sold-out event, so get tix now. Wasn't "stop procrastinating" one of your '09 goals?
