If you haven’t gotten a true fashion fix since Chicago fashion week took over town last fall, you’re probably itching for a little couture entertainment.
That's where the 10th Anniversary Celebration of The Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence comes into play. Dust off your fashionable frocks on May 20 when a collection of fashion design students from five area colleges and universities will be showcased during an evening of fashion and fun.
Between cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, guests will also be treated to a runway fashion show where some truly unique designs will make their debut.
The night will feature collections from top student fashion designers attending Columbia College Chicago, Dominican University, The Illinois Institute of Art, The International Academy of Design & Technology and The School of Art Institute of Chicago. An additional runway show with designs from past participants will also take place.
And the best part? The event is helping other fashionable minds use their creativity to make their dreams comes true, with event proceeds from the evening benefiting the Chicago Fashion Incubator, an organization that provides emerging Chicago-based designers with the resources they need to launch a career in fashion.
Time to start planning your own fashionable outfit.
