Street Style Fashion Hits the Runway

From the Chicago sidewalks, to the runway.

We love any excuse to check out new fashions in Chicago, but it becomes even cooler when the designs are inspired by the street.

On March 7 from 6-9pm, the Chicago Fashion Foundation will showcase the work of ten local fashion students who will present looks representative of the signature street style of a local Chicago neighborhood.

It all goes down at the Preston Bradley Hall in the Chicago Cultural Center, starting with a cocktail hour followed by the show. Neighborhoods such as Rogers Park, Chinatown, Andersonville, and Ukrainian Village will be represented.

Local celebs such as Candace Jordan (CandidCandace.com), Peach Carr (Project Runway) and AKIRA founder Jon Cotay will be among the judges.

The winner receives a $5,000 design scholarship.

After the runway show, former winners will debut their new collections while Too Faced Cosmetics recreates the runway beauty looks from the evening.
