There's a chance this week to support Chicago designers and save a few bucks while you're at it.
Chicago Designer Heidi Hess and her two good friends, Lara Miller and Kate Boggiano, are banding together for a blowout sale this Thursday and Friday.
They're calling it Chicago Designer Black Friday and will be offering up to 75 percent off select merchandise.
"All the department stores are offering discounts. We can, too," Hess said.
Because much of their business focuses on selling to boutiques, they don't want to undercut their bread and butter. The deep discounts this week are on overstock and last season's merchandise.
"It's so close to the holidays. It's a great opportunity to show some of our pieces that are great for holiday parties," Miller said.
This Chicago Designer Sale is happening Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19 at Heidi's loft, at 845 W. Fulton Market, #316, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. [MAP]
