Chicago's Musuem of Science and Industry is giving one lucky winner another chance to "live and breath science 24/7 for 30 days."
The second installment of Month at the Museum will run from Oct. 19 to Nov. 17.
Last year's promotional contest proved to be a huge success as winner Kate McGroarty acquired thousands of online followers interested in her experience as a temporary resident of the 14-acre, 77-year-old museum, reading her blog and following her on Twitter.
Just like McGroarty, this year's winner will participate in live science demonstrations and will meet and talk with guests in addition to sharing their experiences online.
Winners will receive a prize package that includes $10,000 and tech gadgets, including a new notebook computer and digital camera, to document their month at MSI.
Applications are due by July 22 and must include a 500-word essay, two 5x7 photos of the applicant, and a 60-second video describing how the entrant would spend his or her month at MSI.
The museum is looking for a applicants with good communication and writing skills. Some experience with speaking in public, media interviews and blogging would be ideal in addition to having an outgoing nature. Web and photography skills are also a plus.
