Work Out in a Bar
Zumba After Dark at Joe’s Bar
Zumba was discovered, accidentally, in the mid-90s by Beto Perez in Colombia, South America.
Some mornings (ok, most mornings), we can hardly drag ourselves out of bed to get to work, let alone to the gym. And after work, when we are tired and starving? No chance we are in the mood for pumping iron amongst the meatheads.
So instead of schlepping yourself to the gym this week, there's a new place to sweat out those calories -- an environment you're already used to.
Zumba After Dark goes down at Joe’s Bar
on Weed Street on Wednesday. Working out in a bar, you ask? Yes, indeed. This dance class takes place in a nightclub setting, complete with a dance floor, stage lights, and instructors from Chicago
But don’t be fooled by the bar setting. You'll need workout clothes and tennis shoes for this night out, not push-up bras and stilettos, ladies.
No word on whether there will also be seedy dudes. After all, it is a bar, and that comes with the territory.
