    LIVE BY THE FUNK: The Shrine kicks off a twice-monthly set dedicatd to the funk popularized in the 80s in Rio de Janeiro favelas. DJs Flx & Dave Pardo will be brining the funk, and throwing some other styles into the mix including Dominican Bachata Cuban Rumba, Puerto Rican Salsa, Brazilian samba and more.
