The usual Chicago summer live music offerings take on a new twist this weekend with the debut of a festival on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The inaugural Wavefront Music Festival takes over Montrose Beach on June 30th and July 1st.
The electronic dance music festival boasts headliners Duck Sauce and Erick Morillo, BoysNoize and Sasha.
Main stages will be set up on opposite ends of the beach with smaller music tents on the west side hosting emerging talent.
Single day tickets or weekend passes range from $59.99-$109.99 for general admission.
Montrose Beach was chosen because it's one of the most accessible beaches in the city, and has more parking and boat slips than any other beach in Chicago, according to organizers.
