Tonight: The 80 Sips Challenge

WINE DOWN: When you were in college, challenges involving alcohol typically involved a keg or a funnel of some sort, but now that you're older -- and ostensibly wiser -- saner heads prevail. Take for example the Cheeky Chicago and Bottlenotes 80 Sips Challenge, a two week quest to taste six wines from a select list. Complete the list at any number of participating restaurants and bars and win a variety of prizes. Get started tonight at the launch party at HUB 51. 6-7:30 p.m., 51 W Hubbard, RSVP here=

DESSERT TASTING: Tonight's a good opportunity to hit the hot, newly-opened Public House for Windy City Social's Dessert Tasting party to benefit ALS research. It's one of the first looks at the dessert menu, curated by Hot Chocolate's Mindy Segal, along with a 60-minute hosted bar. 6-9 p.m.,400 N. State St, Tickets $10-$15

POKER FACE: Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell hosts his second annual Campbell for Kids Texas Hold 'em Tournament tonight at Horseshoe Casino to raise funds for his foundation, which supports autism research. Admission price of $150 gets you drinks, food and the opportunity to hang out with a number of sports stars who are sure to be in attendance. Considering you drop more cash than that just to see these guys play, it's not a bad deal. Click here for more information.
