    New Music Mondays kicks off in Millenium Park tonight.

    DOWNTOWN SOUND: The popular free series, Downtown Sound: New Music Mondays, returns to Millennium Park for a second summer, featuring an eclectic mix of music discoveries, cutting-edge indie rock, pop bands and rock veterans. The series expands this year to ten double-bill concerts, and tonight, Montréal-based psychedelic and ethereal indie rock group, The Besnard Lakes kicks things off along with the return of Chicago rock group The Ponys. 6:30 p.m., Pritzker Pavilion, FREE

    YOUNG TURKS: Chicago goes Turkish today with the kickoff of the eighth annual Turkish Festival in Daley Plaza which turns into a Middle Eastern bazaar with demonstrations of art, film, dance, music and gourmet food. It all goes down Monday through Wednesday this week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the live performances between noon and 2 p.m. 50 W. Washington St., FREE

    YUK IT UP: The Center on Halsted hosts Moneybottom's Revenge, a comedy extravaganza benefit show that includes live sketches and video, musical performances, improv and an air guitar performance from champion Nordicthunder. Proceeds help support the center's programs. 8 p.m., 3656 N Halsted, $15
