    Party at The Underground tonight.

BENEFIT BASH: Tonight is your best chance to hit The Underground without the run-around at the door when Common Threads co-hosts Chicago's Amanda Puck's 40th birthday party at the River North hot spot. Everyone is invited to the bash, which benefits the organization's Summer Camp program. Complimentary specialty cocktails will be offered from 8-9 p.m., and apps until 9:30. DJ Rock City provides the soundtrack and guests will have the opportunity to enter a raffle with a top prize of a kitchen experience with Charlie Trotter, which in retrospect, could leave you scarred for life. 8 p.m., 56 W Illinois, $20

READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? Lincoln Park's Zella hosts a pre-season football tailgate tonight, but we're not talking about the gridiron version. Compete in the paper football competition, the game where you flick a little triangle of paper through your buddy’s thumb and forefinger goal posts. The winner scores a free brunch for you and three friends to check out the real games this fall. 6 p.m., 1983 N. Clybourn Avenue, NO COVER

TIE ON ON: The co-owners of Luxe a Salon + Spa are ready to show Chicago's ladies a variety of easy, innovative ways to wear a scarf. This second installment of the Lessons in Luxe series helps ladies with all hair lengths dress up their 'do, whether it's a sexy braid, headband, bun, ponytail, or hair cover-up. Plus, each class participant enters a raffle to walk away with an elegant Hermès scarf. 6:30-8 p.m., 2109 W. Belmont Ave., $10. Call 773-665-2049 to RSVP

TEQUILA! Zocalo Restaurant and Tequila Bar hosts its monthly tequila distillery event tonight. Enjoy passed apps and live Latin music while tasting Tequila Ocho. Stick around for dinner afterward with the "Dine at Nine" promotion, half off all food items after 9 p.m. (must make a reservation and mention offer). 6:30 - 9 p.m., 358 W. Ontario, $20
