BLACK THURSDAY: Amongst all the bands at Lollapalooza, British electronic artist Dan Black managed to create his own buzz. Tonight, hit LaSalle Power Co. to see why this "wonky" pop star was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award. Black has collaborated with rapper Kid Cudi, among others. FASHION FOCUS CHICAGO: It's the students' turn tonight at the "Dress Code" headlining runway show at Millenium Park. Check out the next rising design stars with the top students showcased from Columbia College Chicago, The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago, The International Academy of Design & Technology Chicago and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Looks from the four finalists from Chicago History Museum’s FashioNext Generation competition will also be shown and the winner announced. Tickets $10-$25

IRISH OKTOBERFEST: The Temple Bar puts an Irish twist on Oktoberfest with a night of drinking, dining, dancing and yodeling in the form of Irish jam karaoke.
