These ladies will be blogging with nothing less than exquisitely manicured nails.

If a day of wine tasting, manis, pedis and massages sounds like your kind of Thursday night, then it’s time for you to start a blog.

The Swiffer SocialLuxe Lounge kick-off event for Friday’s BlogHer conference will be held Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. It will bring out-of-town bloggers peace of mind with a night of pampering before their big women’s blogging conference.

    Sounds perfect, dahhling.

“We just figured bloggers needed an amazing event to celebrate how big they really are and to get pampered and, you know, get the recognition that we all deserve,” the event's financial gura and main planner, Allison Czarnacki of Petit Elefant said.

Allison and a group of five other mommy-bloggers or authors of womanly-themed blogs will host the event, which will include Kodak photo kiosks and sugaring stations.

But don’t be fooled by the lady-like activities planned for the SocialLuxe Lounge event. The women in attendance are no delicate flowers, proving to be some of social media’s biggest powerhouses. They range in talents from graphic designers to businesswomen to PR queens.

About 500 bloggers -- women only -- will get their toenails painted or hair touched up at the open-invitation, non-exclusive event tomorrow, but only a select few will win one of the sacred BlogLuxe Awards, whose winners were determined by votes that women of the blogosphere cast in an open nomination process.

“The awards, they actually blew us out of the water . . . it just exploded,” Czarnacki said. “We had like, I don’t know, a hundred nominations a day [via twitter and facebook] for weeks and weeks and weeks on end. We had thousands.”

The hosts narrowed the nominations down to two winners for each of the categories, which include titles like Best Eye Candy Blog, Funniest Blog, Guiltiest Pleasure Blog and Most Provocative Blog.

And while the event is otherwise strictly females only, recording artist Chris Mann will entertain with a performance by SONY BMG.

If Sex and the City taught us nothing else, it taught us about the importance of a good body wax and a superb make-up job. The women of the SocialLuxe Lounge were obviously taking notes.

And wasn’t Carrie Bradshaw a writer or something? Hmm . . . writing . . . these bloggers sound like they’re really on to something.
