A positively pugilicious day is in store for pug owners at Joe's, 940 W .Weed St., from noon to 5 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, May 16.
You don't need to have a pug to attend the Pug Dog Millionaire Party, but if you are bringing a friend of the canine variety, only pugs are allowed.
Admission for adults is $7; $4 for kids, and pugs can get in for free.
Hundreds of the adorable, pugnacious dogs are expected. Food and drinks are available for purchase, and if you do bring a pug, dress the little guy or girl up to compete in a costume contest.
Photographer Rhonda Holcomb will be on hand to take some portraits, and there will be all sorts of pug-oriented paraphernalia available for purchase. The event is organized by pugparty.com, which has been in existence since 1994, created with the sole purpose to get as many pugs as possible together for social purposes.

If the Weeds event doesn't offer enough pug for you, drive up to Milwaukee on Sunday for the Milwaukee Pugfest, where there will not only be a costume contest, but a "Blessing of the Pugs" and Pug Races.
