Moshpix: "Detention" is the newest nightclub to hit the Gold Coast, debuting recently with college lettering on the sign, bright blue colored gymnasium-themed walls, and prison bars designed to reflect a feeling of punishment. But trust us, this is unlike any detention you've ever experienced. The club offers notable DJs, two VIP sections and cocktail servers dressed in skimpy Catholic school-girl uniforms standing on top of the bar and pouring shots directly into the mouths of the guests. If it brings back memories of that college frat party, then you won't be surprised to note that the crowd mainly consists of 20-somethings. But it's dubbed as the first upscale nightclub addition to the Division Street cluster of bars, and an alluring option when you're looking to drink and dance at 5 a.m. on the weekend.
