There may be one less summer festival on the agenda next year.
Low attendance over the past couple of years has prompted organizers of the NorthCenter Summerfest to consider dropping the festival in 2013.
Garrett FitzGerald told the Center Square Journal that the chances of cancellation were about 10 percent, and 50 percent for a drastic overhaul for the festival, which was held Aug. 17-19 this year.
FitzGerald says the biggest issue the festival faces is competition from other events across the city.
A decision on the festival's future is expect sometime early next year.
