Green beer and partying all day? Leave that to the mere mortals.

Everyone with an IQ above 130 knows that the biggest event this weekend is Pi Day, celebrated annually on 3/14.

Pi Day celebrates the mathematical pi symbol (rounded to 3.14), and not surprisingly, the Chicago Nerd Social Club is organizing the festivities.

The Nerd Bash at Firkin and Pheasant offers the chance to obtain nerd immortality in the homemade pie contest, or by competing in a "pi off," where you can prove that size matters by seeing who can recall pi to the most decimal digits.

Enjoy the $3.14 pie and beer specials and stick around after the pi festivities for Firkin and Pheasant's weekly trivia at 8 p.m., which will stick to the nerd-related theme.

Participants are asked to dress as nerdy as possible, but we're guessing that shouldn't be an issue.

5 p.m., 670 West Diversey Parkway, $5 in advance, $10 at door
