Don't let the recent escapades of "The Bachelor" tarnish your thoughts on finding that special someone through the media. "Today's Chicago Woman" has unveiled its list of the city's "Top 30 Singles" in its current issue and will honor the hot guys and gorgeous ladies at a sexy singles soiree on Thursday, March 12 at River North's swanky NV Penthouse Lounge. (FYI: NV architect and managing partner Daniel George just happens to be on the "most eligible" roster, which includes Chicago entrepreneurs, media personalities, restaurant owners and more.)
CBS-2 weekend sports anchor Meghan Mawicke will serve as host of the event, which will include a lavish silent auction display in the first-floor entraceway of NV. Up for offer will be such A-list items as V.I.P. tickets to a Bulls game and luxurious hotel, spa and beauty packages. In the eighth floor lounge, gourmet passed hors d'oeuvres from Berghoff Catering, sweet treats from Berry Chill (founder Michael Farah is also part of the compilation) and plenty of libations will help fuel the excitement. And, in proving that giving back has sex appeal, proceeds from the party will benefit the Today's Chicago Woman Foundation, which helps local women and children's charities.
