ARTIST'S CORNER: Sweaty palms and jittery nerves are not the best way to make a first impression. That's why Edge Lounge is replacing the typically stuffy networking events with an artist-focused set called "Stroktagraphy: An Eclectic Display of Artwork from Diverse Chicago Talent." Sip wine, enjoy appetizers, and socialize with art professionals while checking out their work. 6 - 10 p.m., 1700 W. Division Street.

BEER BUZZ: Put down that 6-pack of Miller Lite and broaden your beer guzzling horizons at Binny's Beverage Depot's U.S. Trailblazers of Belgian Beer event. Sample 13 of the best Belgian and French beers paired with imported cheese. 6 - 8 p.m., 1132 S. Jefferson Street, $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

KICK IT OL' SKOOL: Throw on those fresh new kicks and head over to Red Kiva for Phinal Thursdays, a new monthly salute to Chicago's underground hip-hop and fashion communities. Expect to see live performances and classic hip-hop, old-school house and dance beats spun by the likes of DJ Broadway Streetz and legendary DJ Terry Hunter. 8 p.m., 1108 W. Randolph Street.
