Grand Opening: Nellcote Restaurant
Moshpix: Chicago's scenesters were out in full force for the CS Magazine-sponsored grand opening of Nellcôte restaurant. The new spot takes over the space formerly occupied by Marché, but that's where the similarities end. The new owners have completely gutted the space and created an opulent environment with crystal chandeliers, marble stairs and wrought iron gates. The team was inspired by the French Villa Nellcôte -- a 19th century mansion where the Rolling Stones hung out during the summer of 1971 and recorded their seminal album "Exile on Main Street." Jared Van Camp of Old Town Social helms the kitchen and offers up a mix of pizza and pasta dishes with all menu items less than $15.
