The night before Lollapalooza promises to rock as well.
The fifth annual event raises money for the Parkways Foundation, an official partner of Lollapalooza.
The money raised from GALApalooza is used to refurbish parks and fountains, but this year, proceeds will also go toward sending kids to summer camps.
"We're taking care of young people and getting into the human now, help out the humans and not just the land -- now it's starting to get humane," said Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, who was in Chicago Tuesday to make the official announcement.
Grace Turner & the Nocturnals is also scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza. The full lineup for the August 5-7 festival was released Tuesday.
