It's time to start pimping out your blanket with sleeves for the Chicago Snuggie Pub Crawl.
The second annual event will be held April 10 from 12-8 p.m. in Lincoln Park.
While wearing a traditional plain blue Snuggie is a fashion statement in itself, many of the pub crawlers add their own flair. Last year we saw Cougar Snuggies, Snuggie Cops, Geisha Snuggies -- you name it.
The following bars have signed up for the pub crawl:
- John Barleycorn (658 W. Belden)
- Halligan’s (2274 N. Lincoln)
- Kendall’s (2263 N. Lincoln)
- Kelsey’s (2265 N. Lincoln)
- O’Malley’s West (2249 N. Lincoln)
- Sterch's (2238 N. Lincoln)
Lion Head Pub & The Apartment (2251 N. Lincoln Ave.) will host live entertainment throughout the event, including a closing ceremony with prize giveaways.
Last year's event raised nearly $20,000 for an orphanage in Tanzania and this year's event will benefit another orphanage.
The $25 ticket, available at www.SnuggiePubCrawl.com, gets you drink specials at each bar.
Raffle prizes Lollapalooza and Blackhawks tickets, and additional prizes will be awarded in a Best Dressed Contest.
And remember, this event is strictly BYOS -- Bring Your Own Snuggie.
